BRIEF
I created a whimsical storybook-style animation for a home healthcare agency, crafted entirely in MidJourney and refined using Adobe Photoshop and After Effects to deliver a charming, professional visual narrative.
After receiving the client’s basic storyboards and character descriptions, I began iterating on look and feel, exploring variations in personality, posture, and expression to align visual storytelling with the established narrative direction.
PLAN OF ATTACK
Developed distinct characters through MidJourney prompting.
Built style frames guided by storyboard scenes.
Created sets to retain character consistency across frames.
With character designs complete, I generated a range of poses from various perspectives and angles, aligning each with its scene. These poses were then animated, maintaining narrative integrity and consistent visual style throughout the sequence.
THE CLEAN UP
Once all scenes were locked and animated, I began the refinement process, meticulously reviewing each sequence for discrepancies, continuity issues, and visual inconsistencies, ensuring the final animation maintained polished, professional quality.
FLEXIBILITY
With story, visuals, and voiceover locked, we noticed certain key shots required more context. I generated additional supporting elements to enrich these scenes, strengthening narrative clarity and cohesion across the animation.
SAVING TIME
By leveraging MidJourney’s flexibility alongside my character and pose creation method, then constructing scenes for animation, I condensed a three-week production process into a streamlined one-week turnaround, saving time and resources.
